He offers several flexible payment options which is important because I have limited means. He always works it out with me to ensure that I can afford the dental care that I need. Dr. Michael J. Wei has the finest skills in the art of dentistry. He has been taking care of my teeth in the past few years. I went to other dentists before and I found that Dr. Wei performs the best dental care. He is super patient, caring and attentive. No matter if it is regular filling, cleaning or even anesthesia injection, I could barely feel pain or much discomfort during the process. He is excellent in cosmetic dentistry. I had a chip in my front tooth and Dr. Wei repaired it beautifully. It looks exactly the same as before. Dr. Wei really cares for his patients and always strives for the best. He is a perfectionist. He is willing to answer questions and share his professional knowledge. His staffs are friendly and helpful. I am glad that I’ve found Dr. Wei and he is simply one of the very best dentists you can find in the city.

He actually cares about the patient, me!
I’ve gone to more than 15 different dentist in my life thus far. I’ve had okay or horrible experiences with all of them and usually got the pain fixed and never returned to a dentist more than once.
My friend Tina recommended me to Dr. Wei. My first visit with Dr. Michael Wei was so thorough, comfortable, and pleasant that I actually went to him a second time and slowly but surley 2+ years later he is my only dentist.
He actually cares about the patient, me! He tells you what the problem is, tells you what he recommends and different options. You have a say in what gets done in your mouth. He has high tech, clean and sanitary equipment. His office does not smell like a dental office. Always has a DVD playing so you can choose to watch tv if you wanted. He’s always taken his time and has never made me feel rushed. He and his staff schedule appointments accurately so that you are never waiting for your appointment, so you can go during a lunch break. I appreciate a person who can appreciate my time as well. He has the best staff who are kind, gentle, patient and not rude which is hard to find in NYC.
The best thing on top of all the above is he is a master at what he does: I had a tooth pulled out and took 2 Advil’s and never had swelling. People were amazed that I even had a dental procedure done.
I recommended him to all my friends and co-workers who now go to him as well. He is the dentist I would consider a family friend. His work is precise and he is really great at what he does.

He is passionate about dentistry and genuinely cares about his patients.
I am a nurse and I chose this profession because of my passion to provide optimum patient care. So needless to say, when the table is turned and I became the patient, I am the worst critic because I expect nothing but excellent care from my clinician. Dr. Wei has shown me that and much more.
First, I have suffered from periodontal disease for the last 15 years and have made numerous visits to the dentists for a rather uncomfortable procedure called deep scaling and root planing (also known as deep cleaning). This process takes about 45 minutes and requires getting numbed up, something I absolutely dislike. I pride myself in having a high pain threshold but the injectable anesthetic is just unbearable at times, even with the topical anesthetic. Dr. Wei is by far the only dentist who has made this process comfortable for me. I don’t know how but he gives the most gentle injections. It is over before I even know it!
Second, not only am I a nurse, but I am an oncology nurse who works with head and neck cancer patients so I see a lot of patients with mouth cancer. According to CDC, more than 30,000 new cases of mouth and pharynx cancer are diagnosed each year in the US. The ADA is trying to boost public awareness of oral cancer and screening is now a routine part of a dental examination. Dr. Wei is the only dentist who ever performed a comprehensive oral examination on my first visit and every visit after. Unfortunately, I can’t say that about my previous dentists.
And last, being in the healthcare field, I am always surrounded by healthcare professionals so I know a great provider when I see one. And Dr. Wei is indeed the best! He is passionate about dentistry and genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Wei is an honest and true professional – at no time was I ever pushed into having any unnecessary procedures. He explains to me all my options in a clear, concise manner and then allows me to make my own decisions. It is simply refreshing to find a dental clinic with such high standards of work but also offers a very personal and caring environment. I have complete confidence in everything Dr. Wei does and have always been satisfied with my experience.
