As another reviewer has said, which I agree with, Dr. Wei really does genuinely care about his patients and you can feel that in the way he treats and talks to you.
No one really enjoys going to the dentist but there’s a reason that I’ve been going to Dr. Wei for almost 10 years. He’s thorough, professional and of course has that all important chair-side manner that puts you at ease right away. His office used to be close to my work but when he moved it to a neighborhood not convenient to me, there was no question that I would follow him. As another reviewer has said, which I agree with, Dr. Wei really does genuinely care about his patients and you can feel that in the way he treats and talks to you. I also feel that he’s very up on the latest information and technology. My husband and I both go to him so he truly is our “family” dentist.

I know how difficult it is to find a good dentist considering how many people fear it. If you looking for a new dentist I highly recommend him.
I usually fear going to a dentist, but Dr. Wei truly makes it a comfortable experience. Dr. Wei is a great dentist. He is a very attentive, thorough, and caring dentist. He takes the time to explain every step of the process of the procedures and completely takes the fear out of going to the dentist. He puts you at ease and always make sure that every procedure is done with the utmost care and attention. His office is clean, comfortable and modern with reasonable fees. He genuinely cares about your oral health and his staff are always very courteous and professional. I know how difficult it is to find a good dentist considering how many people fear it. Dr Wei gave me a new smile!! I’d avoided going to dentists for years and my teeth were in pretty bad shape. I had severe crowding and, as it turned out, a crossbite too. I originally went in wanting porcelain veneers as the easiest and quickest way to fix my smile. However even though the porcelain veneers were the more expensive route Dr Wei said this wasn’t the best option for me and instead suggested I try invisalign. He took a long time to explain all the options and gave me an honest opinion of the best route of treatment, Well 10 months later the results are incredible and I’m so happy. I’m now comfortable smiling again, I also had a number of fillings and a cleaning. The staff are extremely friendly and Dr Wei is an extremely personable, caring, extremely competent dentist. I would (and have) recommended him to anyone.

A colleague recommended Dr. Wei to me several years ago and since then, he has become our family dentist and we have recommended Dr. Wei to other family and friends. In a dental emergency with a wisdom tooth, Dr. Wei made time from a packed schedule to squeeze in an appointment and I know he has done that for others as well. He also made a good recommendation to a dental surgeon. Dr. Wei is also very tech savvy and embraces the use of technology in his practice for his benefit and that of his patients. Lastly, his office is comfortable and his staff are very responsive and friendly. If you are super sensitive to pain, Dr. Wei also ensures that you are comfortable by employing topical anesthesia, using televisions as a distraction and is just good at talking you through a procedure. Overall, we would highly recommend Dr. Wei to others.

I’ve been to quite a few dentists in New York City over the years, and Dr. Wei is the only one I will go to. Excellent service, top-notch tech, and he’s also a genuine person and warm human being. I should mention that I’ve been seeing Dr. Wei for over a decade. The previous dentists that treated me couldn’t hold a candle to Dr. Wei! Even after my jaw was mangled in a bike accident, Dr. Wei treated me with the latest technological advances (and I am certain that few if any dentists would go above and beyond like he does). Now my wife is a patient as well. Definitely recommended.

I’m not one that enjoys going to the Dentist, I have had many nightmare experiences as a kid as well as in my early 20’s. I have been going to Dr. Michael Wei since 2003. I was very hesitant at first but as soon as I met him for the first time all my fears and discomforts were lifted. He truly makes your experience there a very welcoming one. He puts you first in all of your concerns and makes you feel comfortable. I’ve never been so comfortable and relaxed in my life when going to a dentist until I met Dr. Wei. Dr. Wei is pleasant, gentle, and professional: he takes pride in his work and in his patient relationship building.
He takes the time to explain the critical areas of the procedure(s) he is performing so that you aren’t kept in the dark, wondering what is going on…?
He is well immersed with modern dentistry, including his techniques and equipment…as a bonus, you are offered a warm spa-like facecloth at the close of your visit.
Lastly, I am very content with continuing to have Dr. Wei as my dentist (after walking away from several other Manhattan dentists who had failed to satisfy minimal requirements; ie: Basic Cleaning 101)!

Dr. Wei has been my dentist for 8 years. I see my life as a dental patient clearly divided into “before Dr. Wei” and “with Dr. Wei.” I always hated going to dentists, maybe because I never had the great treatment I currently get from him. The qualities I value the most in a dentist/dental practice are knowledge, a delicate, but assuring touch, a calm demeanor, a welcoming and clean environment, and the latest instruments that make the least amount of scary noises and causes the least pain. I recommended him to all my friends and co-workers who now go to him as well. He is the dentist I would consider a family friend. His work is precise and he is really great at what he does.
And best of all, I now have a great smile 🙂

Dr. Wei has been my dentist for 4 years now and I’ve not had an appointment anything shy of wonderful with him. I moved to the city after school and had to develop a network of the basics which included a dentist. A co-worker suggested Dr. Wei and given his close proximity to my work, I figured I’d give him a shot. I’d only ever been to one dentist in my life and had always had a slight fear of dentist visits growing up so I was extremely nervous stepping into an unknown office for the first time. Dr. Wei and his staff did an exceptional job of making me feel comfortable and explaining everything along the way. He works hard to have the most innovative equipment and techniques employed in his practice and as a result offers an extraordinary visit every time. I’ve now had both bi-yearly cleanings and some structural work done by Dr. Wei and have had no issues whatsoever. Best of all, I’m developing a comfort in the dentists’ chair I’ve never experienced before. I would highly recommend anyone trying Dr. Wei one time, because I’m confident they will be back.
